About

Cursed with indomitable restraint, Benny Carreon did what most people with successful corporate lives have done throughout the world… nothing.

And like most people who sit at a cubicle from 9 to 5 every day, he longed to achieve the ultimate dream of being self-employed. However, being successful in his corporate life, a sort of self-satisfied and disillusioned accomplished feeling started to take hold of him. “Why should I leave the corporate world, (which I really hated) for the scary and ‘no guaranteed’ world of Entrepreneurship?” At the time, it didn’t seem worth it.

All the trappings in life that had been mere dreams a few years before, were a reality. Porsches, Mercedes, custom houses, and world vacations were the norm for this satiated ‘corporate citizen.’ Life was good. And so it went, until “the collapse”. Because he was in the technology field, Benny suffered through a painful 2 years during the dotcom bust. He went from being super-successful to finding whatever job held some promise.

“I went from an executive position with huge hope and promise to just hanging on,” explains Benny. He went from company to company, and in the course of 2 years, became the victim of corporate direction adjustments, bankruptcy restructuring and reduction in force adjustments. “In two years I worked for 3 companies. All either folded or did mass layoffs. By then, I’d had it.”

So in 2003, Benny decided enough was enough and decided to take the “ultimate leap” and escape from the corporate world forever. The years after that fateful decision weren’t always easy, and it was those tough times that inspired him to start this website. Benny wants you to learn from his mistakes. He wants you to get motivated to get started and to take your dream from idea to reality.

I’ve been to the top in the corporate world, and to the bottom. I went from NOTHING when I started my company and now - I get up when I want, I don’t commute. I get to play with my son and spend time with my wife. I work the dream life and will do this for the rest of my life - don’t you want to do the same? Let me help you.  - Benny Carreon
